The dress dagger comes with a white polished grip and brass lining and above the handle is an eagle with folded down wings clutching a swastika in its talons, the very symbol of the new German Nazi regime.

The crosspiece is designed with an anchor which is the crest for Kriegsmarine.

The metal scabbard comes with two safety rings, oak tree leaves and arrow decorations.

The blade manufacturer mark details “Paul Weyersberg and co SOLINGEN”.

The photo album depicts a cruising ship and its locations.

~ Dimensions ~

The blade is 25 cm (9 ¾ inches) in length and overall the dagger is 42 cm (16 ½ inches) long.

The photo book has a length of 26 cm (10 ¼ inches) and a width of 20 cm (8 inches).

It weighs 755 g.

~ Condition ~

The handle grip has lost some material and there is some surface patina but the dagger has aged well.

There are some light scratches on the blade but the open mechanism works.

The edges of the cover and the core show signs of use and some of the photos are no longer glued to the pages but overall the photo book presents well.
