This is a nice example of a German Firemans’ Dress Dagger made by Solingen, with a brass handle, crosspiece and black diamond grip.

The ricasso bears the Maker`s mark Dirlam & Sohne, Solingen-Manganberg.

The dagger comes with its original scabbard.

 

*Dimensions*

The blade is 25 cm (9 ¾ inches) long. The dagger in its scabbard has a length of 39.5 cm (15 ½ inches).

The item weighs 520 grams.

 

*Condition*

The scabbard has developed surface rust as expected for its age.

The blade has some scratches and minor spots of rust.

The brass elements developed some patina and lost some of their chrome finish.
