This is a 1929 dated BSA Lee-Enfield Rifle which would have likely been used throughout World War 2. This particular gun is the Mk III SMLE which is the best-known Lee-Enfield rifle. Its chamber was adapted to fire the new Mk VII High-Velocity spitzer .303 ammunition. Many early models such as the Magazine Lee–Enfield (MLE), Magazine Lee–Metford (MLM) and SMLE, were rebuilt to the Mk III standard. These are called Mk IV Cond.

*Condition*

This SMLE is in great condition for its age and usage. There are a few minor knocks and marks to the wooden parts and some light pitting on a couple of the metal parts. Please see pictures for more detail as they form part of our condition report.
