~ WW2 British Clinometer For Vickers .303in HMG MKII Dated 1944 ~

The piece is made of brass on a steel slotted base.

The brass part is stamped 1944 No 2661 V.E. 0067.

The steel part is stamped Clinometer Vickers .303 In. M.G. Mk II.

The Mark II clinometer was first introduced in 1933. They were used to determine the elevation of the heavy machine gun when firing, particular indirectly or overhead fire.

The piece is in good working order.

~ Dimensions ~

The clinometer has a width of 14 cm (5.5 inches).
