"1943 R.A.L.C 2. Tools S/Cutting, B.S.F Sets No.1 FA 18725"

Brown Army Tool Box with "R.A.L.C 1943" embossed on the front - markings for 'Royal Army Logistics Core'. Stenciled in White: "Tools S/Cutting, B.S.F Sets No.1 FA 18725A." This is a BSF (British Standard Fine) tap and die set which allows one to create threads for bolts and screws.

The set contains 5 dies and 16 taps. Some of the taps are war arrow and date marked. The set is not matching and different brands are present:

Presto: x2 taps, x1 die;
LA. L.Ltd England: x6 taps, 1 die with arms dated 1943, 1 further die
Lyndon: x4 war arrow marked taps, 2 dated - 1941, 1947;
Greenfield USA: x1 tap;
Chatwin: x1 war arrow marked tap, x1 Die;
Bates: x1 war arrow marked tap, x1 Die;
Harris x1 tap.

Box measures 41.5cm x 27.3cm x 6cm

*Condition*
This is a fantastic collectors find. It is very rare to find a WW2 tool set with parts. The box is in good condition, it closes and is unbroken. It has the scratches and dings you'd expect. Please see photographs as part of the condition report.
