WW2 Australian SMLE III* by Lithgow 1942

Out of stock

This is an example of the iconic SMLE III* made by Lithgow, Australia during World War 2. The Mk III* was introduced incorporating several changes, the most prominent of which were the deletion of the magazine cut-off mechanism, which when engaged permits the feeding and extraction of single cartridges only while keeping the cartridges in the magazine in reserve. It also added the long range volley sights. This rifle has many clear stamps across its surfaces.

*Condition*

This SMLE is in great condition. The bolt-action works as it should and the trigger can be moved. The magazine is removable. There are some very minor marks from general wear.
