*WW1/WW2 Japanese 47mm Hotchkiss Round*

This 47mm, 1.85-inch Hotchkiss (47x131R) is of Japanese origin and was employed by the Japanese Navy for their 5cm Boat Gun. The brass cartridge case was manufactured in Japan and features various Japanese markings. The pointed steel projectile follows the typical Hotchkiss design of that era, with a brass driving band, and it is threaded at the base to accommodate a base fuse. Subsequent versions featured narrower driving bands made of copper.

5.9cm diameter (at base), 4.7cm at throat. 13cm high case, 23cm in total
