~ WW1 War Dept. Cased Pantograph ~

A First World War era War Department brass pantograph in original case made by J. Short of London.

Used for tracing and enlarging images most likely in this case in map making.

Both the pantograph and box are stamped with the Broad arrow, the initials 'WD' for war dept. and the serial no. '2274'.

The set looks to be complete with heavy triangular foot and various add-ons.

~ Dimensions ~

The case measures 86cm (34 inches) by 18.5cm (7 ½ inches) by 12cm (4 ¾ inches).

It has a total weight of 8.23 Kg

~ Condition ~

The pantograph and case are in a very nice condition commensurate with age.
