The M1917 bayonet was a US-made bayonet used during World War I and World War II. It was designed to fit the American Enfield rifle and featured a 17-inch blade, a wooden handle, and a metal pommel. The bayonet could also be used as a fighting knife and was widely used by American soldiers during the war. Uniquely, inside the scabbard features the remnants of a ruler which has been used to keep the blade tightly in.

*Condition*

The bayonet itself is in good condition. The blade does not show any damage with the makers mark still visible. The blade has some light and historical surface pitting. The grip is somewhat weathered. The scabbard is damaged at the tip with the end seemingly missing. Please refer to the images as a part of our condition report.
