~ WW1 RAF Flying Helmet ~

The helmet is made of dyed brown sheep skin with a wool interior. There are side flaps and a leather chin strap with a buckle.

~ Condition ~

The flaps on one side have become un-popped and the seam on the top has split. The leather remains supple and the strap is intact.

~ Dimensions ~

The helmet is 28 cm (11 inches) tall and 22.5 cm (9 inches) wide.
