Here we have a sword that is iconic among collectors as the final evolution of the German single knucklebow sabre.

This sword being unmarked makes it most likely a NCO’s piece and the grey guard appears to be for the artillery companies of WW1. These swords whilst being ostensibly for ceremony did see use as they were all combat blades and based off the cavalry sword and carried in combat.

The sword is a slim bladed sabre with a single knucklebow and a horn and wire wrapped grip, the scabbard is painted black and has a single suspension ring.

~ Dimensions ~

The sword is 34 inches.

The blade is 41 inches.

The sword weighs 810g.

~ Condition ~

The sword is in excellent condition for its age with some minor wear to the blade.
