SKU: RMQJA_477267329 Categories: ,

This is a spiked Imperial German helmet from World War 1. It is a black leather helmet with grey metal fittings. These would have been worn by German Military, Police and Firefighters. Its most close association is with the Prussian Army. On the front, a silver Prussian eagle is displayed with the letters “FR” on its chest.  This is in reference to Fredericas Rex (King Frederick of Prussia, 1701). The German “Mit Gott Fur Koenig Und Vaterland” translates to “With God for King and country”.

*Condition*

The helmet is in good condition for its age. There is some pitting to the metal parts and some minor cracks in the leather. The helmet is fitted with replacement cockades and chinstrap. Please see pictures for more detail as they form part of our condition report.
