~ WW1 Canadian Fort Gary Horse Mark 1 Brodie Helmet With Liner And Chinstrap ~

The initials 'FGH' are to the front. The helmet is finished in olive drab with a black oilskin liner and a brown leather strap.

They were initially a cavalry unit but later converted to an armoured one. They fought in France and Flanders from 1916 until the end of the war.

~ Condition ~

The helmets skull has a single dent to the top and light general surface corrosion. The liner is decent, the strap is worn but still pliable.

~ Dimensions ~

The helmet is 30.5 cm (12 inches) deep and 29 cm (11.5 inches) wide.
