The Lee-Enfield SMLE (Short Magazine Lee-Enfield) was a bolt-action rifle used by the British military during World War I. It had a ten-round box magazine and was chambered for the .303 British cartridge. This rifle was excavated in 2012 from the Battle of the Somme area.
