The M-1917 bayonet was developed originally for the British Pattern 1913 rifle and, like the later Pattern 1914 rifle, was adopted for U.S. troops in World War I.

It’s has a broad fullered steel blade and a two piece carved wood grip.

The blade is also stamped with proof marks.

~ Dimensions ~

The blade length is 17 inches (43 cm) and the overall length of the bayonet is 21.75 inches (55cm).

The bayonet in its scabbard length is 22.75 inches (57.5 cm).

It weighs 785 grams.

~ Condition ~

The blade has minor surface corrosion but remains undamaged and can be easily cleaned.

The grip remains excellent and all marks are clear.

The scabbard has some amount of wear but its overall condition is good.

The spring in the catch works well.
