On sale is a 1917 dated Lee-Enfield rifle that can be fully cocked but not dry fired. The legendry Lee–Enfield is a bolt-action, magazine-fed repeating rifle that served as the main firearm of the military forces of the British Empire and Commonwealth during the first half of the 20th century, and was the British Army's standard rifle from its official adoption in 1895 until 1957. The WWI versions are often referred to as the "SMLE", which is short for the common "Short, Magazine, Lee–Enfield" variant.  This rifle has various stamps throughout with a serial number of 84696 and comes with a current deactivation certificate.

*Condition*

All in all, the rifle is in good condition for its age having been refurbished. With nicely polished wood and metalwork that has no major pitting. Some minor marks and blemishes throughout.  Please refer to images for more detail as it is a part of our condition report.
