~ WW1 1916 18 Pounder Trench Art Shell Case To The Royal Engineers ~

The shell case has a scrolled lip and and an etched copper band with a Royal Engineers cap badge and the letters R & E. The base rests on five bullet head supports. The British shell case is for an 18 pounder and is dated for 1916. A fine example of its type.

~ Condition ~

It is in good order but would benefit from a polish.

The shell case is 22.5 cm (9 inches) tall. It weights 1.855 Kg.
