The German M16 helmet, otherwise known as the Stahlhelm is a steel helmet that was made to provide protection against shrapnel and fragments. The term Stahlhelm refers both to a generic steel helmet and more specifically to the distinctive German military design. This helmet is stamped ET64 showing it was produced at the Eisenhuttenwerk factory in Thale.
*Condition*
The helmet retains its original paint and does not contain any dates or significant scratches. Unfortunately the inner support/fabric is torn away. Please refer the images as a part of our condition report.
