A fantastic quality etching of The Battle Of Trafalgar by the renowned British maritime artist William Lionel Wyllie (1851 – 1931).

The image is one of three images Wyllie made of the battle of Trafalgar.

Below the image reads ‘Issued August 1^st 1905 by the Art Union Of London’ and also ‘F. Goulding Printers, London’.

The piece is signed in pencil by Wyllie to the bottom left hand corner below the image.

The painting is mounted and presented in a vintage glazed frame.

~ Condition ~

The paper has somewhat oxidised with age, but has no damage or foxing. The image is crisp and clear.

The mount has also yellowed and has a couple of marks but is overall in good order.

The frame is in a decent condition.

The image measures 74 cm (29 inches) by 39 cm (15 ¼ inches).

The frame measures 102 cm (40 ¼ inches) by 72 cm (28 ¼ inches).

It weighs 6.6 Kg.
