Slush casting, a variation of permanent molding casting, is employed to produce hollow castings. In this method, material is poured into the mold, left to cool, forming a material shell. The remaining liquid is then emptied, creating a hollow shell. While the resulting casting boasts excellent surface detail, the wall thickness may vary. Originating in 1893 by William Britain for crafting lead toy soldiers, slush casting is advantageous for its material efficiency, resulting in lighter and more cost-effective products compared to solid casting.

These tanks are in excellent used condition. One tank has a small hole in its side. Please see photographs as part of the condition report.
