This late Victorian vinaigrette has engraved floral decoration both front and back, with a circular cartouche engraved ‘E.W.M., Barrowby’ to the front.

It has a hinged lid which when opened reveals a pierced floral hinged grille.

The interior of the lid and base have a gilt finish.

The vinaigrette is hallmarked in several places for Birmingham, 1897 with the makers mark ‘CC’ for Colen Hewer Cheshire.
