~ Victorian Staffordshire Pastille Burner In The Shape Of A Small Turreted Castle ~

The castle has an opening at the back to place the pastille in and two turrets, one to draw air in and the other to expel the pastille smoke. It has gilt and bocage detailing.

They were used to remove unpleasant odors,

~ Condition ~

There are hairline cracks most noticeable to the underside, no doubt due to its use burning pastilles. The gilding is quite worn.

~ Dimensions ~

The castle is 9 cm (3.5 inches) tall by 8 cm (3.25 inches) wide.
