This sabretache would have been worn by an officer of the Royal Artillery in Great Britain; however, exactly the same pattern was worn as part of full dress by permanent artillery officers in the Australian colonial military forces. The sabretache has a black cloth background and is fitted upon a black leather back. At the bottom it reads “Quo Fas Et Gloria Ducunt” which roughly translates to “Everywhere Right and Glory Lead”.

*Condition*

The sabretache is in good condition for its age and usage and comes complete with its leather case and slings. There is some damage to the cloth background and some discolouration. Please see pictures for more detail as they form part of our condition report.
