~ Very Fine King George III Period Flintlock Duelling Pistol By Collins Of London~

A superb example with almost all of its original finish present. It has a 9 inch sighted octagonal barrel of Damascus twist steet, engraved Regent Street London, the scroll engraved breech with maker's tablet for Collins off 1, 2 Vigo Lane in Regent Street, border and scroll engraved stepped and bolted lock, sliding safety, rainproof pan and rolling frizzen stepped and bolted lock, sliding safety, rainproof pan and rolling frizzen. It is half stocked with border and has superbly scroll engraved steel mounts and a horn tipped wooden ramrod.

~ Condition ~

The pistol is in excellent order.  The lock works perfectly on cock and half cock with a strong spring.

~ Dimensions ~

The pistol is 38 cm (15 inches) in total length with a 23 cm (9 inches) barrel.
