~ US MS Bayonet 1953 Pattern ~

The US M1953 Bayonet is a type of bayonet that was designed and manufactured for use with various firearms, most notably the M1 Garand rifle. The M1953 Bayonet was developed in the early 1950s as a replacement for the M1 Bayonet, which had been in service since World War II.

The bayonet comes with a scabbard that is designed to protect the blade when not in use. The scabbard is made from fiberglass-reinforced plastic and includes a locking mechanism to secure the bayonet when it's sheathed.

It was primarily designed for use with the M1 Garand rifle, which was a standard-issue rifle for the United States military during World War II and the Korean War. The bayonet was intended to serve as a close combat weapon and a multipurpose tool for the infantry.
The M1953 came into service during the Korean War and continued to be used by the US military for some time afterward. It marked a transition from the earlier M1 Bayonet design and represented improvements in manufacturing techniques and materials.
