*U.S.A, 1965–1973, Vietnam Service Medal, with Ribbon*
A complete and original U.S. Vietnam Service Medal, awarded to military personnel who served in Vietnam and surrounding regions during the Vietnam War. The medal features a flaming torch and scroll design on the obverse, inscribed “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.” The reverse bears a traditional Asian-style dragon flanking a bamboo grove, with the legend “REPUBLIC OF VIETNAM SERVICE.” It is suspended from the original yellow ribbon with three vertical red stripes and green edges — symbolising the flag of South Vietnam.
This example includes its original brooch pin fastening and shows a lightly aged patina to the bronze finish.
Condition Report: Medal in very good condition with even wear and light surface marks. Ribbon colours remain vibrant with some minor handling creases. Original fastening pin intact and functional. Please see photographs as part of the condition report.
