~ Two Circa 1820 Ships Whale Oil Lamps ~

The lamps are made of brass and would have been used to burn whale oil to illuminate a ship at sea.

They are both free standing and have holes for wall mounting. Both have removable lids and oil reserves.

They are of different designs.

~ Condition ~

The pieces have understandable dents and dings from usage at sea. There are also period soldered repairs.

~ Dimensions ~

The lamps are 36 cm (i4 inches) tall. The base has a diameter of 12.5 cm (5 inches).
