A lovely christening cup in Sterling silver with decorative twin handles dated 1936.

This silver cup has handles to either side both in the form of a winged cherub or angel.

The cup is engraved with the initials DRG but is otherwise of plain design.

It is hallmarked just under the rim for Silver, Sheffield, 1936 with a makers stamp of ‘M&W’ for Mappin & Webb.

The underside of the cup is marked ‘Mappin & Webb Ltd, London & Sheffield’.

~ Dimensions ~

The cup has a diameter of 10cm (4 inches) and measures 15cm (6 inches) across the handles.

It has a height of 5cm (2 inches) and weighs 130g.

~ Condition ~

The cup has a few oxidation spots and a few shallow dings but is otherwise in a very nice condition with no damage.
