~ Sterling Silver Silent Night Music Box By The St James Company c1981 ~
A gorgeous sterling silver music box by The St James House Company dating to 1981.
The music box is of sterling silver in circular form standing on three silver gilt feet.
The box has a domed lid with machine turned engraving with a gilt finish. To the centre of the lid is a silver and enamel motif with the image of a moon,
star and rooftops, framed with a decorative border.
The box is otherwise of plain silver.
When the lid of the box is opened the box plays the tune of ‘Silent Night.
The piece is hallmarked in two places for sterling silver, London, 1981 and has the makers mark of The St James Company.

The music box has a diameter of 6.5cm (2 ½ inches) and a height of 7.5cm (3 inches).
It weighs 240g.
~ Condition ~
The music box is in a very nice condition with only very minimal surface wear from use and age but no major scratches or damage.
