SS Variant M1942 With Steel Camo Wire

Here we have a wonderful example of a Third Reich SS helmet in the M1942 Pattern.

The lining and chinstrap of this helmet have been replaced and affixed to what looms like the original band.

The helmet has the distinct look and shape without the rolled lip of the M1942 helmet, one of the most iconic helmets in the history of war.

The helmet has the SS decal on the right side.

The helmet is marked with the number ‘6979 on the rear inner of the helmet. Some other numbers may have been worn away.

~ Dimensions ~

The helmet is 11.5 inches (29.5 cm) deep.

The helmet is 10 inches (25 cm) wide.

The helmet is 6.75 inches (17 cm) tall.

The helmet weighs 1.55 Kg.

~ Condition ~

The helmet is in good condition for its age.

The lining has been replaced as well as the chinstrap with some good reproduction components.

The paintwork has been kept very well with some minor rust patches and scuffs to the paint.

The decal is still clearly visible.

The camo wire has snapped in a few places.
