~ SS Himalaya Ships Wheel Shaped Ashtray ~
A nice ashtray from the passenger ship S.S. Himalaya (1948-1974) in the form of a ships wheel.
The ashtray is of a plain white metal with an S.S. Himalaya enamel badge, that of the P&O flag logo, to the centre.
~ Dimensions ~
The ashtray has a diameter of 15cm (6 inches) and a depth of 2cm (¾ of an inch).
It weighs 357g.
~ Condition ~
The piece is in a good condition with just some oxidation to the finish but no damages.
~ S.S. Himalaya ~
SS Himalaya was a British passenger ship of the Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Company (P&O), launched in 1948, which operated mainly between Britain and Australia. She was withdrawn from service in 1974 and scrapped the next year.
