This is a fairly preserved example of a Spanish Mauser bayonet and its leather scabbard.

The blade is stamped “Artilleria National Toledo” and the guard is stamped “09”.

The handle grips are made of chequered wood attached together to the metal frame with two screws.

The scabbard is missing its locket but the tip is present.

~ Dimensions ~

The blade is 11 ½ inches (29 cm) and the overall length of the bayonet in the scabbard is 18 inches (46 cm).

It weighs 500 grams.

~ Condition ~

The blade and the guard developed a patina and some surface rust.

The grips show some heavy usage.

The scabbard is worn.

The catch button works as intended.
