*Soviet, WW2, c. 1930s–1940s, Mosin-Nagant M1891/30 Socket Spike Bayonet, Izhevsk Arsenal with Tula Marked Press Stud*

A genuine Soviet Mosin-Nagant M1891/30 socket spike bayonet, designed for use with the standard-issue Soviet 1891/30 rifle. Measuring approximately 50.2 cm overall, this example features the classic cruciform spike blade with a long central fuller, and retains its original socket and locking mechanism. The bayonet bears the Izhevsk arsenal triangle with arrow marking, along with serial number ИУ 3798. Additional proof and inspection marks are visible, and the press stud is marked with the distinctive Tula arsenal star, suggesting wartime or post-war mixed assembly — a historically common practice.

Condition shows honest age-related patina and surface oxidation throughout, with no cracks or major deformations. All markings remain clear, making it an appealing piece for collectors of Soviet WWII militaria.

*Condition*
The bayonet is in good, solid condition overall with visible areas of surface rust and general wear consistent with field use. The socket and locking mechanism remain functional. Please see photographs as part of the condition report.
