~ Snider Patent Two-Band Enfield Rifle ~

A Snider patent two-band Enfield rifle from the third quarter of the 19th century with a full stock and foresite.

The lock-plate is stamped with a crown and Tower mark. The date is too worn to be read. It is fitted with sling
swivels and ramrod.

~ Condition ~

It cocks and half cocks with a strong spring. A screw is missing from the trigger guard. The piece has been crudely deactivated by slotting and resealing the barrel and welding over the percussion cap. It is therefore suitable as a wall hanger only.

~ Dimensions ~

The rifle is 124 cm (48.5 inches) in length with a 83 cm (32.75 inch) barrel.
