~ Small 19th Century Malaysian Bronze Lantaka Cannon ~

The cannon is of a two part construction, the breech and the barrel, which are separated. They are currently held in place together with an internal wooden dowel.

Both pieces have elaborate raised scroll work and the muzzle is flower shaped.

~ Condition ~

As mentioned above, the barrel is in two pieces. This seems to be intentional to aid reloading.

~ Dimension ~

The cannon is 46 cm (18 inches) in length. The bore is 1.8 cm ( 0.8 inches) in diameter. It weighs 1.07 Kg.
