~ Scratch Built Model of A WW2 German VIIC Type U-Boat ~
A scratch built, one-off, well crafted wooden model of a type VIIC German WW2 era U-boat.
The Type VIIC was the workhorse of the German U-boat force, with 568 commissioned from 1940 to 1945.
The first VIIC boat commissioned was the U-93 in 1940. The Type VIIC was an effective fighting machine and was seen almost everywhere U-boats operated.
The VIIC came into service near the beginning of the war and was still the most numerous type in service when Allied anti-submarine efforts finally defeated the U-boat campaign in late 1943 and 1944.
This model is of solid wooden construction mounted on a stand with an example of its torpedo mounted below.

The model measures 61 cm (24 inches) in length, with a height on base of 16 cm (6 ¼ inches).
It weighs 685g

The model is in a very nice condition with no damage.
