~ Royal Navy Issue Siebe Gorman Underwater Divers Lamp #2 ~
A Royal Naval Issue underwater divers lamp by the British company Siebe Gorman & Co. Ltd.
Originally designed in the 1930’s by famous diving helmet makers Siebe Gorman, these lamps were used to illuminate the
underwater working areas of hard-hat divers performing a variety of tasks; repairing keels, building sea walls or diffusing mines etc.
This particular lamp was used by the Royal Navy and probably dates to the mid 20th century.
The lamp is of gun metal painted in grey to the outside and white to the inside.
The bulb is held in a glass tube secured with a metal plate and four brass rods. The lamp features a swivel securing loop to the top
and is wired with a vintage three pin plug and several metres of cable.
The glass tube is marked ‘API7755’ and there is a M.O.D Record label attached to the outer edge of the lamp.

The lamp has a diameter of approx. 43cm (17 inches).
The lamp weighs approximately 8Kg and with cable weighs 13.4 Kg.
~ Condition ~
The lamp is in a great condition with no damage and only light surface wear.
