The ashtray is of circular form with four indents around the overlapped upper edge for placing cigarettes/cigars.
The ashtray has a greenish brown mottled glaze to the upper edge and a blue/green/brown mottled lower half. It has decoration of blue and
white heart shaped around the circumference.
The ashtray has the ‘Royal Doulton, England’ factory stamp to the underside. It is the variation without crown which dates this between 1923
-1927. It is stamped with serial numbers of ‘9496’ and ‘X7628’. There is a stamp of ‘B’ and hand carved number ‘115’.
