~ Royal Doulton Classics Figure Of Merlin HN4540 Ltd Ed. 147 of 950 ~
A Royal Doulton ‘Classics’ ceramic figure, produced circa 2003 of Merlin, the famous wizard from Arthurian legend.
The figure was modelled by Shane Ridge and was a limited edition, this being no. 147 of 950.
The figure depicts Merlin with long flowing beard and robes holding a staff with goats head on a circular base mimicking flagstones.
Beside him stands a book upon a pedestal.
The base has factory stamps along with handwritten initials (of painter presumably) of ‘GG’.
~ Dimensions ~
The base has a diameter of 13.5cm (5 ¼ inches) while the figure stands at 24cm (9 ½ inches).
It weighs 870g.
~ Condition ~
The figure is in a very nice condition with no chips, cracks or restoration.
