Royal Doulton Character Jug "Sancho Panca" D6456

A Royal Doulton character jug form the "Characters from Literature" series.
Sancho Panca is dressed in his peasant robes with a white feather plume to his hat. The handle is in the form of a donkey.

~ Sancho Panca ~

Sancho Panca was a peasant employed as the squire to Don Quixote in Cervantes's 17th-century novel. Panca accompanied Quixote on many adventures, his down-to-earth common sense acted as a foil to his master's romantic musing.

~ Dimensions ~

The piece stands at 7 inches (18cm). The base measures 6 inches (15cm) at its widest point. This jug weighs 940g.

~ Condition ~

The jug is in very good condition with no chips or cracks. There is a small manufacture fault to the edge of the donkey ear, this is only visible under close inspection.
