~ Royal Artillery Wilkinson Swords 1822 Pattern Light Cavalry Sabre, Leather Frog And Leather Field Scabbard ~

The sword is a finely and well balanced piece with a sweetly etched blade. It bears the former owners initials of "C. Challen" and "Royal Artillery".

The ricasso is etched "By Royal Warrant, Henry Wilkinson, Pall Mall, London" with a proof star on the other side.

The spine has a serial number of 48488 and 'London Made'.

It comes with it's brown leather frog and field scabbard.

~ Condition ~

The blade is decent with clear etching, just a few dark patches and some corrosion near the tip.  The guard is solid with a tightly bound grip. The scabbard is solid with some scuffing.

~ Dimensions ~

The sabre is 106 cm (42 inches) long with a 89 cm (35 inch) blade.
