~ Rare WWII German Tropical M38 Fallschirmjäger Helmet With Double Decals ~
This is a unique collectable item: a rare World War II Tropical M38 helmet worn by the Fallschirmjäger, the elite paratroopers of Nazi Germany. The helmet was first introduced on September 26, 1938, and was in use until Germany's capitulation in 1945. We anticipate that this helmet is dated between 1941 and 1943, although we cannot be certain. Paratrooper helmets typically have a narrower profile than standard helmets worn by regular soldiers. This design helps ensure that the harness straps of the parachute do not dislodge the helmet during deployment or cause injury to the soldier's neck. The liner of this helmet has stamp markings, although they have faded over time due to age and wear.
~ Condition ~
This helmet is in good condition considering its age and usage. There is some wear on the paint, and you can find pitting in those areas. However, the liner and straps are in excellent, sturdy condition. Please refer to the pictures for more details, as they are part of our condition report.
~ Dimensions ~
The helmet is 27 cm (10.5 inches) in length, 21.5 cm (8.5 inches) wide and 15 cm (6 inches) tall.
