~ Pre-1914 French Officers Tunic ~

The black tunic has a liner in black with cream arm liners.

The collar badges are of a gold bullion flaming grenade with a regimental number six to the centre over a red velvet collar. The cuffs are of a thin gold braid strip under a broader silver one, with red patches sewn over to display the buttons. The shoulders each bear a single silver braid loop.

All the buttons are present and bear the flaming grenade.

The label reads "Charles Colasse 133 de Ligne Belley", Belley being a commune (as in town district) in the Ain department in eastern France.

~ Condition ~

There are multiple moth holes to the tunic. There are no epaulettes. Some silver braid is missing on one sleeve. The lining is decent.

~ Dimensions ~

The tunic measures 66.5 cm (26.25 inches) from collar to hem, across the shoulders it is 40 cm (15.75 inches) and the inner arm length is 46 cm (18 inches).
