~ Portsmouth Navy Week Official Souvenir Guide 1929 ~
The Portsmouth Navy week was an event showcasing the power and prestige of the Royal Navy.
First started in Portsmouth in 1927, then extended to Plymouth and Chatham the following year, they allowed members of the public to be brought into direct touch with the work and life of the Royal Navy.
Navy Weeks were held between 1927–1938.
This programme dates to 1929.
It features information and photographs on all the events taking place as well as information on the various ships on show.
The centre pages are a map of the area.

The programme measures 18.5cm by 12.5cm.

The centre pages which fold out in to a map are not attached.
The programme is in very good condition with only light wear commensurate with age.
