*Period Photograph, Adolf Hitler talking to wounded German soldiers on hospital train Poland, 1939*

Adolf Hitler (Führer und Oberster Befehlshaber der Wehrmacht) paid a visit to a medical train car (Verwundetentransportzug) containing German soldiers who were wounded in battle in Poland. On that occasion the Führer thanked them for doing their best for the Reich and that their services would be rewarded accordingly. This photo was taken by Heinrich Hoffmann near Truppenübungsplatz Groß Born (Borne Sulinowo), Neustettin, on September 5, 1939

Approximate measurements of frilled card: 8.2cm x 12.4cm

Stamped in Russian on the reverse: Снято с УЧЕТА - Deregistered
There is also a stamped circle that is signed but the print is indistinct.
