* Percussion Manstopper Pistol, Obsolete Calibre *

A percussion manstopper pistol is a type of firearm that was commonly used in the 19th century. It was designed to stop an attacker in their tracks with a single shot, hence the name "manstopper." This is a great example in good operational condition with etching on the lock plate. 230mm long.

The pistol uses percussion caps to ignite gunpowder and propel a bullet out of the barrel. It typically has a short barrel, and is compact and easy to carry. The manstopper pistol was often used for self-defense, law enforcement, and military purposes.

* Condition *

Hammer cocks in both positions and is fully operational, in good working order with no significant damage to the patina. It is consistent with its age and life. Overall a very nice example. Please see photographs as this forms part of the report.
