Original WW2 Second Class Iron Cross Award 1

This is a second class Iron Cross medal, awarded to a member of the German Army during World War 2 for an act of bravery in battle or another military battlefield contribution. This medal comes with its original ribbon and retains most of its paintwork. The date 1939 represents the beginning of WW2 and the 1813 on the reverse was the year the award was created.

*Condition*

This iron cross is retains most of its paintwork although it does show some rust on its front face. There is some loss to the finish on the swastika and small patches of rust. The ribbon however is in great condition. Please see pictures for more detail.
