Original WW2 German SA Dagger Ernst Rohm Inscription Removed

Second World War Nazi SA Dagger

Out of stock

The SA dagger was the service dagger of the Sturmabteilung (Storm Detachment) formed under Adolf Hitler and Ernst Röhm’s authority in 1921. Though this particular dagger has Ernst Röhm’s inscription removed. Otherwise known as the Brown Shirts, the SA was a paramilitary group named after elite German forces from the Western Front in the First World War (1914-1918). Their primary role was to provide muscle at Nazi rallies and to counter the actions of opposition paramilitary groups. The SA soldiers were also used to violently intimidate civilians.

*Condition*

For its age the dagger is in very good condition. The blade retains most of its original finish with a small chip on the blade. The Nazi and SA emblem on the wooden handle are still clear and visible. There are some slight scratches on the scabbard. The makers mark has been erased along with the inscription and the blade appears to have been slightly shortened. The scabbard is in excellent condition with only minor marks commensurate with age. A nice original and historic item.
