Original WW2 German Kriegsmarine M40 Helmet

This is a single decal German Kriegsmarine M40 helmet from World War 2. The helmet features the Reichsadler decal on the left side of the helmet which is still almost fully visible. The primary change from the M35 to the M40 was to mount the vent holes directly on the helmet instead of punching them in to reduce costs. This particular helmet has been field painted from its original green colour to the blue visible in the pictures.

*Condition*

This helmet is in good condition for its age and usage. Some of the original green paint has become visible. There are small patches of rust where the paint has worn away. The leather liner has held up very well and the chinstrap is still strong and undamaged. Please see pictures for more detail as they form part of our condition report.
