This bayonet model was designed for use with the Karabiner 98k which was the standard service rifle for Germany during World War 2. This particular example was produced by WKC, indicated by the markings “42 CVL” on the ricasso. It has the serial number 2905 on the reverse of the blade..
~Condition~
This bayonet is in great condition for its age and use. The blade has a great finish with a light, even patina. The metal parts of the hilt are moderately pitted and the button does not depress. The grips remain strong and undamaged. Please see pictures for more detail.
